Vietnam postpones Asia’s largest security forum

Vietnam has postponed the holding of Asia’s largest security forum, which includes North Korea, and an annual meeting of Southeast Asian foreign ministers for September, due to the pandemic.

Two Southeast Asian diplomats said today that Vietnam, which heads the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASAEN) this year, expects to hold face-to-face meetings in mid-September, rather than online because of travel restrictions, one of the chances to respond to what was scheduled for the end of this week.
