Radio Macau quoted a Taiwanese media report that a Macau overseas student studying at National Pingtung University of Science and Technology suspected of drowning while paddling in the water at Wutan Waterfall.
Pingtung Fire Control reported this morning (14th) that someone was drowning at Wutan Waterfall. After the arrival of the Fire Control, the drowning student was found next to the big rock next to the stream with no sign of life, he was rescued to hospital and declared dead. The report said that the deceased was a 23-year-old male student from Macau. He suspected that there was an accident with two classmates while paddling in the waterfall. The school has contacted the family.
