TAP nationalization avoided during the night. State gets more than 70%

Azul abdicated converting 90 million loans to TAP into capital, avoiding nationalization. DN / Dinheiro Vivo has already confirmed the news.

At the end of yesterday it seemed almost certain that the government was going to nationalize TAP. However, the negotiations between the State and the private sector extended overnight and it was possible to avoid nationalization of the airline, advances the online newspaper Eco. This information was confirmed by DN / Dinheiro Vivo this Thursday morning.

After the negotiation marathon, the lawyers of both parties managed to reach a common text and the formalization of this agreement, between Azul and the State. According to what DN / Dinheiro Vivo found, the agreement will be made official in the next few hours. In addition, and as already advanced by Eco and Expresso, Portuguese businessman Humberto Pedrosa remains a private shareholder.
