Agents verify beliefs or divisions, but do not analyze resumes without basic information. They use, for example, Google to endorse candidates.
The main Brazilian intelligence organization, Abin (Brazilian Intelligence Agency), uses a public database and Internet searches to collect records of candidates to join the federal government.
Abin is responsible for verifying those nominated to commissions in the government and the federal agency started to be criticized for its role in the evaluation of the name of Carlos Alberto Decotelli by the Ministry of Education. Decotelli was even nominated after were revealed falsehoods contained in his CV, which included a doctorate title that had not been completed.
