Beijing passes national security law for Hong Kong

The Standing Committee of the National People’s Assembly has just passed the law to defend state security for Hong Kong, advances the South China Morning Post.

The details of the new legislation are not known at this time, but the newspaper says that the official Chinese news agency Xinhua is expected to reveal details this afternoon.

As expected, Beijing passed the national security law for Hong Kong on the last day of a special session of the Standing Committee of the National People’s Assembly.It is an approval that comes before details of the diploma that criminalize acts of secession, subversion, terrorism and collusion with foreign forces in order to endanger state security are known in Hong Kong.
