We investigate if the drink is really as miraculous as they say
For centuries, Egyptians, Romans, Greeks and Christians used wine to treat health problems. Fermented grape juice was present in the pharmacopoeia of several countries until the end of the 19th century, when the anti-alcohol movement appeared. Even so, the number of scientific studies highlighting the therapeutic properties of the wine only increases, proving that the drink can prevent heart disease, various types of cancer and even help with weight loss, libido and disorders such as depression and anxiety.
But, being alcoholic, which implies several harms -, would the drink be so miraculous? WH went after the benefits of wine and tells you everything.
