Striker Mario Balotelli’s move to Brescia ended badly. The athlete had his contract terminated by the Italian club this Saturday (06) for “just cause” because of the constant absences in training during the last weeks.
According to ANSA, the decision to unilaterally break the contract was taken after Balotelli presented a medical certificate with the diagnosis of gastroenteritis to justify his absence from training. At the end of May, the president of Brescia, Massimo Cellino, had said in an interview with the British broadcaster “BBC” that hiring the 29-year-old was a “mistake” because of the lack of commitment to training “and with the future of the club ”.
