Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has issued a formal appeal to U.S. President Donald Trump, requesting that he prioritize the termination of the Russian invasion during his high-stakes meetings with Chinese leader Xi Jinping this week.
Speaking from Romania during a summit with the Bucharest Nine (B9), a group of Central and Eastern European allies, Zelensky emphasized the critical role of global diplomacy in restoring Ukrainian sovereignty.
“We are in constant contact with our American partners and remain grateful for their support,” Zelensky stated during his address. “It is our hope that the issue of ending Russia’s war against Ukraine will be addressed during the American President’s time in China.”
