Formula 1 grand prixs will continue to take place even if a pilot gets a positive result for covid-19 or if a team is forced to give up of a race, the competition’s boss, Chase Carey, revealed this Wednesday.
“A team that cannot compete is not a reason to cancel a race. I think there is no need to explain the consequences of suddenly canceling a grand prix. We will have protocols in place and tests will be carried out. If a driver is infected, the teams have reserve pilots, “Carey said on the official Formula 1 website.
