Olympic Games qualification in athletics will run until three weeks before Tokyo2020, postponed to 2021 due to the covid-19 pandemic, except the marathon and the 50K race walk, that will end month earlier.
Both the validation of the results and the rankings are paused from April 5 to December 1, when the athletes’ performance is valid again, for most of the sport types until June 29.
