The United States announced on Thursday (21) a record donation of US $ 1.2 billion to the British laboratory AstraZeneca, which will develop the eventual vaccine at the University of Oxford, subject to a transfer of technology to the USA and delivery 300 million doses.
Behind the principle of the “world public good”, there are, in fact, two distinct problems: intellectual property and the distribution of the first doses. The first may be easier to solve than the second.
