Avram Grant recalls his stint at Chelsea in 2007/08, when he replaced the Portuguese at the helm of the “blues”.
José Mourinho’s first spell at Chelsea ended in the first half of 2007/08, when Roman Abramovich opted to dismiss the Portuguese coach. In his place came Avram Grant, who, after a start full of doubts, had ended up leading the “blues” to the Champions League final, where they would eventually be defeated by rival Manchester United, on penalties.
Speaking to The Sun, the Israeli technician recalled the period he spent at the helm of the London team, showing himself proud of the work done, without forgetting a splinter to his predecessor.
