Unemployment rate rises and reaches almost 13 million people in Brazil

The unemployment rate goes up and almost 13 million people arrive in the first quarter of this year. In comparison with the last quarter of 2019, the increase is 1.3 percentage points, reaching 12.2%. The information is from Pedro Antônio Guimarães, from Band News.

The data were released on the morning of this Thursday, 30, at PNAD Contínua, by IBGE. The survey also points to a 2.5% drop in the contingent of the employed population, about 2.3 million people, according to the IBGE.
