Pandemic led to historic increases in US cannabis sales

Cannabis sales have seen historic increases in the United States since the beginning of restrictions linked to covid-19, which has elevated the product to “conventional status,” Paul Armentano, director of the NORML organization, told Lusa.

“In fact, the pandemic has elevated cannabis to a conventional status, especially medical cannabis,” said the official, who heads the National Organization for the Reform of Marijuana Laws (NORML).
