“As Covid-19 continues to spread across the world, more than 117 million children in 37 countries could stop receiving the measles vaccine, which saves many lives,” the World Organization said in a joint statement. Health Organization (WHO), Unicef, the United Nations Foundation, the American Red Cross and the US CDC (Center for Disease Control and Prevention).
The statement, referred to as the “Measles and Rubella Initiative”, says that measles immunization campaigns have already been postponed in 24 countries and more than 10 others are about to do the same.
