Sporting reached the Champions League quarter-finals today, thrashing Bodø/Glimt 5-0 at home after extra time to overturn the first-leg defeat in the round of 16.
After losing 3-0 in Norway, Gonçalo Inácio (34′), Pedro Gonçalves (61′) and Luís Suárez (78′, penalty) levelled the tie in normal time, before Maxi Araújo (92′) and Rafael Nel (120+1′) sealed qualification for the national double champions.

This is only the second time Sporting have reached the Champions League quarter-finals, after the 1982/83 campaign in the then European Cup. In the next round, the Lions will face the winner of the tie between Arsenal and Bayer Leverkusen — who drew 1-1 last week and meet again today in London.
