FC Barcelona consolidated their lead in the Spanish football league today, beating Sevilla 5-2 at the Camp Nou in a match marked by a Raphinha hat-trick and a goal from Portuguese international João Cancelo.
The team managed by Hansi Flick now has 70 points, four more than Real Madrid, who on Saturday thrashed Elche 4-1 at the Bernabéu.
Barcelona dominated from the start and opened the scoring after just nine minutes when Raphinha converted the first of two penalties, both won by Cancelo. The Brazilian scored again from the spot on 21 minutes, and Dani Olmo made it 3-0 on 38 minutes before Sevilla pulled one back in stoppage time through Oso, after a cross from Juanlu Sánchez.
In the second half, Barcelona accelerated again and Raphinha completed his hat-trick on 51 minutes. João Cancelo then scored the fifth on 60 minutes. Sevilla added a late consolation through Djibril Sow, who headed home in the 90+2nd minute to set the final score.

Sevilla, managed by Matías Almeyda, are having an inconsistent season and sit 14th with 31 points.
