More than an aesthetic matter, choosing a bra must follow very precise requirements. Far from the world of lingerie and sportswear marketing, a plastic surgeon explains what to look for when buying a bra, what to avoid, and what the risks of a poor choice are.
It is time to set aside preconceived ideas and stereotypes. Choosing a bra is about much more than a flattering neckline, a perkier bust or a structure built for impact. “The right bra is not felt, and if you feel it throughout the day, it probably is not the right one,” says plastic surgeon Carolina Andresen plainly. She adds: “A good bra is not necessarily the one that lifts the most, but the one that best respects the anatomy.”
