On the day marking four years since the Russian invasion of Ukraine, Russia’s foreign intelligence service (SVR) accused the United Kingdom and France of actively working to provide a “nuclear weapon or at least a dirty bomb” to Kyiv, in order to strengthen the position of the country led by Volodymyr Zelensky in the peace negotiations.
Without presenting evidence, the SVR, cited by the international press, considered that “the British and French elites are not prepared to accept defeat.” “These extremely dangerous plans of London and Paris demonstrate that they have completely lost touch with reality,” indicated the Russian intelligence service.
The Kremlin spokesperson, Dmitry Peskov, cited by Sky News, stated that the alleged plans of the two countries are “extremely dangerous” and represent “a blatant violation of all norms and principles of international law.”
