US President Donald Trump admitted on Tuesday that he would “love” to involve Venezuelan opposition leader Maria Corina Machado in the country’s political “transition.”
At a press conference in Washington on the day marking his first year back in the White House, Trump referred to “an incredibly kind woman” after María Corina Machado offered him the Nobel Peace Prize she received in 2025, in a gesture not recognized by the Oslo committee.
