Hengqin port sees record 30 million annual passengers

The annual passenger flow through the Hengqin Port border checkpoint exceeded 30 million for the first time on Sunday, authorities have announced.

Macau’s Public Security Police Force said that as of 1:00 pm on 28 December, the checkpoint had recorded more than 30 million passenger crossings in the 2025 calendar year. The daily average for the year stands at around 83,000 crossings, representing a significant increase of 32 per cent compared with the previous year.

The Hengqin Border Inspection Station, under the Zhuhai Border Inspection General Station, confirmed the figure marks a new annual record since the port’s inauguration.
