Hong Kong news outlet HK01 reported that a “man in black stabbed someone in public and then walked away slowly,” adding that the assailant was wearing a mask and remained at large at the time of the posts.
Mall staff attributed the violence to a dispute between customers and stated that management had reported the incident to police, HK01 noted. The local police station confirmed the attack to media on Thursday morning, stating the case is currently under investigation and declining to provide further details.
A nearby tertiary hospital informed HK01 that it had admitted one injured person related to the incident on Wednesday night and that treatment was completed prior to the night shift.
