Hengqin theme park involved in penguin shipment clarification: report

Hengqin’s theme park has recently drawn media attention after its facility was reportedly listed in delivery documentation as the sender of penguins bound for Xinjiang.

The recipient of the shipment was said to be a ski resort in Uqturpan county, Aksu prefecture, in the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, according to online news portal on.cc..

The operator of the ski resort, however, has clarified that it is not receiving any penguins.
