It is forecasted that between the night of Friday, the 3rd, and the early morning of Saturday, the 4th, this tropical system will enter within 800 km of Macau, at which point Tropical Storm Signal No. 1 will be issued. The Hong Kong Observatory may issue Signal No. 1 on Friday night.
As of 2:00 PM today, the tropical depression was located about 1,550 km to the southwest of Macau. The system is moving northwest at a speed of 22 km/h, generally towards the Philippines.
