The Public Security Police Force (PSP) said they received a report on the morning of August 12th about a person on a ledge at a hotel on Avenida Dr. Sun Yat-Sen in Nape. When firefighters arrived, they deployed a safety cushion on the ground. A video circulating online shows a firefighter quickly pulling the woman away from the edge of the railing when she became distracted.
The PSP stated that the woman is a mainland resident. After being taken to the Hospital Center S. Januário by ambulance for an examination, she was discharged.
