Satellite casinos bow out to make room for culture and food first

Cultural and gastronomic offerings will first take centre stage as the curtains fall on satellite casinos in the ZAPE and NAPE districts.

It is a message from Maria Helena de Senna Fernandes, director of the Macao Government Tourism Office (MGTO), who recently told the media that community activities such as themed markets would dot the areas predominantly filled with casinos as soon as next month.

A daily average of 110,000 traveller visits to Macau is expected by the government for July and August.
