HK consultant admits taking bribes in Macau Don Donki renovation case

Hong Kong’s anti-corruption agency has charged a consultancy employee with accepting bribes in relation to two renovation projects, one of which is said to be linked to Don Quijote’s Macau outlet.

Don Quijote, or Donki, is a Japanese discount shop chain known for its iconic penguin mascot.

According to a statement issued on Monday by the Independent Commission Against Corruption (ICAC), the employee of a design consultancy admitted the offence before a court of justice in the neighbouring special administrative region.
