The appointment, effective today (7 May), was published in the Official Gazette on Wednesday in an executive order issued by the Secretary for Economy and Finance, Tai Kin Ip.
Ng had served as head of the Public Administration Bureau since September 2023, following a three-year stint as Deputy Director.
