Gaming revenue hits MOP18.86 billion in April, up 1.7 pct y-o-y

Macau casinos generated a total of MOP18.86 billion (USD 2.36 billion) in gross gaming revenue (GGR) in April, representing a 1.7 per cent year-on-year increase, official data revealed on Thursday.

This figure brings the total GGR so far this year to MOP76.51 billion (USD 9.56 billion), 0.8 per cent higher than in the first four months of 2024, according to the Gaming Inspection and Coordination Bureau (DICJ).

GGR from January to April this year represents 76.7 per cent of the amount recorded during the same period in pre-pandemic 2019.
