Lamine Yamal’s father in serious condition after being stabbed in Barcelona

Mounir Nasraoui, father of football player Lamine Yamal, was stabbed this Wednesday in a parking lot in Mataró, in the Catalonia region, and is hospitalized in serious condition.

According to Spanish newspaper La Vanguardia, which cites local police sources, the father of the Barcelona player and Spanish international was transported to the Can Ruti hospital in Badalona.

The Mossos d’Esquadra, Catalan police, in collaboration with the municipal police, are already investigating the case, and have only managed to locate witnesses to the crime so far.

Lamine Yamal has become a football phenomenon in the last two seasons, debuting for Barcelona’s first team at just 15 years old and being one of the team’s main figures last season. He was also one of the highlights of Spain, which won Euro 2024, having started the competition at the age of 16.
