Pope congratulates association of LGBTQIA+ Catholics

Pope Francis sent a congratulatory message to a Catholic organization defending the rights of the LGBTQIA+ community in Australia.

The entity “Acceptance”, founded in 1973, received the congratulations of the pontiff last June, on the occasion of its 50th anniversary, but the news was released only this week.

“None of us expected such a greeting, but Pope Francis is so wonderful, why were we surprised?” said Angela Han, Acceptance’s coordinator in Perth.
