João Félix criticized after defeat against Real Madrid

Chelsea, with João Félix in the starting line-up, lost on Wednesday by 0-2 against Real Madrid, in the first leg of the quarter-finals of the Champions League, at the Santiago Bernabéu.

The Portuguese striker was very uninspired against the current European champion, going blank and being substituted in the 65th minute. Everton winger Andros Townsend commented on the match live on talkSPORT radio and was unimpressed with Félix.

“When Real Madrid counterattack, it looks like they are going to shoot for real, but with João Félix there is nothing”, he criticized, in an opinion shared by Chris Sutton, a former Chelsea player and current BBC Radio 5 commentator.
