Ukraine says secret documents contain false information, aimed at dividing allies

Oleksii Reznikov acknowledged “not pleasing anyone” such a leak of information, but added that it was “also necessary to analyze with a magnifying glass” the alleged documents that were released, assuring that they contain “a lot of data that is not true” and others that “do not correspond to reality, which are no longer current”.

“We can say that it is a mixture of truth and not truth. I suppose it was an action done on purpose, which I call a special psychological operation. It is clear that the beneficiary of this operation is Russia and its allies and sympathizers. The objective of this whole operation is to lower the level of trust between the allies in relation to the United States”, said Oleksii Reznikov, at a press conference in Madrid, according to the translation of his statements into Spanish by an interpreter.

The Ukrainian minister said he was certain that the United States “will do everything possible to nullify the scope” of this information leak, to determine its origin and to prevent “this type of situation from happening again in the future”.

“Despite all these leaks”, Kiev has “full confidence” in US allies, said Oleksii Reznikov, who underlined that he maintains a “direct relationship” with US Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin.
