Germany’s appeal to China: “Do not supply weapons to the Russian aggressor”
German Chancellor Olaf Scholz on Thursday appealed to the People’s Republic of China not to supply arms “to the Russian aggressor”.
“My message is clear: use your influence to demand that Moscow withdraw Russian troops. Do not supply weapons to the Russian aggressor”, declared Scholz in the German Parliament (Bundestag).
In the same speech, Scholz said that Germany and other partners are in talks with Kiev about “future security commitments” for Ukraine.
Scholz referred to “talks” with Kiev about “future commitments” on “security” issues, but did not specify or detail the plan, having criticized the Russian head of state for military aggression in Ukrainian territory.
