On January 15, the founding ceremony of the Affiliated School of Jinan University for Hong Kong and Macao Students (ASJ) was held in Foshan, Guangdong.
According to Hong An, vice president of Jinan University, the new school will provide diversified and international education services for Hong Kong, Macao, Taiwan, and foreign students in Foshan. “The launch of the school will attract more talent from home and abroad to live and start businesses in Foshan,” he added.
The school will begin its first semester on September 1, 2023, and plans to enroll 300 students in the first year.
As a 15-year consistent school, ASJ will connect students’ various needs for further education and carry out a consistent training model from kindergarten to university.
In 2021, China’s first school for Hong Kong and Macao students, the Affiliated School of Jinan University for Hong Kong and Macao Students, was jointly opened by Jinan University, Hong Kong Victoria Harbor Education Group, and Dongguan Eaton Education Group in Guangzhou. In 2022, a second school of its kind was established in Dongguan, Guangdong, followed by the new one in Foshan.
