Macau’s gaming revenue in December reached MOP3.4 billion, representing an annual fall of 56.3%from about MOP7.9 billion in the same month of 2021, according to figures released on Sunday.
Year-to-date gross revenues for 2022 stood at MOP42.1 billion, an annual fall of 51.4%.
This first day of the year also marks the start of the new gaming concession contracts valid for the next ten years. This means that at the beginning of 2023, Macau will have 30 casinos in operation.
