The deputy from the ruling Morena party, María Clemente García, proposed Wednesday in the Mexican Chamber of Deputies that Lionel Messi be declared “persona non grata” in Mexico after a World Cup match.
The justification of García, a member of the National Regeneration Movement (Morena), party of Mexican President Andrés Manuel López Obrador, is based on the video that leaked on social networks in which Messi puts a shirt of the Mexican national team on the floor of the locker room after Argentina’s victory over Mexico in the group stage of the World Cup in Qatar.
