TDM Rádio Macau

The first case was detected in a 36-year-old man, a Mainland resident, who is an operator at Pier No.5 of the Inner Harbour. The nucleic acid tests were negative on November 26 and 27. On Wednesday morning, the man performed a rapid antigen test due to feeling unwell, and the respective result was positive. He then uploaded the relevant rapid antigen test result for COVID-19 to the Platform. The patient was immediately referred by the Health Services to the Special Emergency Department of CHSCJ to undergo the nucleic acid test and the result was positive. The patient is under medical observation in isolation at England Marina Club Hotel and has been classified as a case related to the imported case of COVID-19 infection. According to epidemiological investigations, the patient was in Zhuhai City on November 27 and 28, and had meals in various places in Macau on November 28 and 29. The second case was detected in a 29-year-old female resident of Macau, who is the wife of the first case above and is an employee of the Human Resources Department of Wynn Palace Casino. She had not been tested for nucleic acid in the past two weeks. On Wednesday morning, the patient was referred to the Special Emergency Department of CHSCJ to undergo the nucleic acid test because of the positive result of her husband in the rapid antigen test, and the nucleic acid test was positive. She did not show any symptoms. The woman is subject to medical observation in isolation at England Marina Club Hotel and this case has been classified as an imported case associated with asymptomatic infection. She has had no recent travel history. The woman had meals at DauDau HotPot located at NOVA Mall on November 29.

Furthermore, two (2) cases have been diagnosed related to imported cases of COVID-19 infection in the areas under control (both are under control as of 28 November), hence the risk of community transmission is relatively low.

The first case was detected in a 60-year-old woman, a resident of Macau, who lives in the same building as the taxi driver with a positive nucleic acid test result announced on November 28. She was under medical observation since the afternoon of November 28, and the results of the two subsequent nucleic acid tests were all negative. On the morning of November 30, she had a mild cough and bone pain. The result of the nucleic acid test was positive and the CT value shows that it is an early-stage infection. This case was detected under control and was counted, as a case related to the imported case. She has already been referred for isolation and medical treatment at the Public Health Clinical Centre in Alto de Coloane.

The second case was detected in a 70-year-old female resident of Macau, a housewife, who is the wife of the taxi driver with a positive nucleic acid test result announced on November 28. She was under medical observation since the afternoon of November 28, and the results of two subsequent nucleic acid tests were all negative. On the evening of November 29, she had a sore throat. The result of the nucleic acid test performed on November 30 was positive and the CT value shows that it is an early-stage infection. This case was detected under control and was counted, as a case related to the imported case. She has already been referred for isolation and medical treatment at the Public Health Clinical Centre in Alto de Coloane.
