Macau recorded on Sunday the first two Covid-19 related deaths since the pandemic began over two years ago, health authorities said in a statement
Two women, aged 100 and 94, who were chronically ill, were diagnosed “as positive cases of Covid-19” without showing any symptoms, according to the statement from the New Coronavirus Contingency Coordination Centre.
On Saturday, Macau registered a further 90 cases of the disease, for a total of 784 infections, following the latest wave of Covid-19, which led the territory on 19 June to declare a state of immediate prevention, bringing forward the end of the school year and suspending all or part of services and businesses.
