In an interview with the German newspaper Bild, Polish President Andrzej Duda criticized his French and German counterparts for holding talks with Russian leader Vladimir Putin despite the invasion of Ukraine.
“I am impressed by all these talks that Chancellor [Olaf] Scholz and President Emmanuel Macron have had with Putin. Conversations that are not going anywhere”, said Duda in statements to the daily newspaper.
Dialogue with Vladimir Putin represents a “kind of legitimation of a person responsible for crimes perpetrated by the Russian army in Ukraine”, maintained the Polish leader.
