Cape Verde is the PALOP where it is easier to start and operate a business, reveals the World Bank’s “Doing Business 2020” report.
Cape Verde appears in position 137, followed by Mozambique in place 138, São Tomé and Príncipe occupies position 170, Angola 177 and Guinea-Bissau is in 174th. place.
It should be noted that Angola fell four places. In 2019 it had recovered four positions, being, this time, in the 13th position from the last of the list, that is, it is considered as one of the worst countries in the world to do business.
Outside the African radar, but still among the Portuguese-speaking world, Portugal appears in the 39th position, Brazil in the 124th position and Timor-Leste in the 181st place.
