Actor told why he preferred not to give details about the abuse in memoir
Matthew McConaughey, 51, spoke about two experiences of sexual abuse he had as a teenager. The actor, who recently released a memoir, cited the facts in the text, but avoided giving details.
According to him, at the age of 15 he was “blackmailed” for the first time for sex. Three years later, when he was 18, he was “molested by a man” while “unconscious in the back of a van”.
