University of Macau develops driverless bus in pioneering project

Diana do Mar

It is a project described as a “pioneer” in the MSAR. The University of Macau today launched a platform for driving tests for autonomous vehicles.

To this end, it developed a bus, electric, without a driver as part of a research project that combines new technologies, such as artificial intelligence or the 5G network.

“The purpose of the platform is mainly to verify and validate the technology we have developed (…) we will use the bus to test them”, explained the director of the Faculty of Science and Technology of Macau, Xu Cheng Zhong, in an interview with TDM-Rádio.
