Head of the Russian special program says Venus is a Russian planet and the country has plans to organize its own mission to investigate the possibility of life.
Dmitry Rogozin, head of the Russian space agency Roscosmos, revealed that the country plans to send its own mission to Venus, in addition to “Venera-D”, the joint mission organized with the United States.
According to Russian news agency Tass, Rogozin made the revelation on Tuesday when speaking to journalists at the HeliRussia 2020 exhibition, an international exhibition for the helicopter industry in Moscow. “Resuming exploration of Venus is on our agenda,” he said.
