Angola profited in 2019, with the wood business, about US $ 23 million, of which 9.2 million correspond to payments made in euros, according to the management report and accounts presented by Empresa Pública Florestal Madeiras de Angola (Madang -EP) to the majority shareholder.
Official data indicate that revenues related to the export of wood amounted, in 2018, to 34.8 million kwanzas, while in 2016 they totaled 67.2 million.
The main export markets continue to be Asia (China, Vietnam and India), for the most dense wood species, such as Mussivi, Takula, Kungulo, Mucula and Mutete, Europe (France, Italy, Portugal and Germany), for wood lighter, and the Middle East (United Arab Emirates), for heavier and heavier species of wood.
