The Government will launch a plan to increase the number of visitors and tourist consumption in the territory.
In partnership with Tencent, Alibaba and Air Macau a program was created on WeChat, the flying pig, with promotions on the purchase of airline tickets, hotel reservations and general consumption.
Starting tomorrow, the “Plan to expand the source of visitors, revitalize the economy and protect jobs” begins, a plan announced on Friday with the aim of stimulating the tourism sector. The Government intends to “provide, through companies linked to electronic commerce on the Internet, benefits in the acquisition of airline tickets, hotels and consumption in general for visitors”.
The objective is to attract more tourists, encourage their consumption and enjoyment, “of tourist and leisure services during their stay in the territory” and thus guarantee “a new visit from these customers”, the authorities said in a statement.
