Magnitude 6.7 earthquake recorded in the Philippines

An earthquake measuring 6.7 on the Richter scale was recorded today in central Philippines, without triggering a tsunami warning, according to the United States Geological Survey (USGS).

According to the news agency France-Presse (AFP), the earthquake occurred at 08:03 (01:03 in Portugal), 68 kilometers from the city of Masbate, in the Visayas region, and 10 kilometers below the earth’s surface.
