Covid-19: More than 20 million people infected worldwide

The new coronavirus, Covid-19, has infected more than 20 million people worldwide since the start of the pandemic, more than half of which in the American continent, according to the latest assessment by France-Presse (AFP) .

According to the balance sheet made by AFP from official sources in several countries, at 22:15 GMT on Monday, in total, 20,002,577 cases were recorded, including 733,842 deaths.

Four out of 10 confirmed cases of covid-19 are in the United States of America (USA) and Brazil, the two countries most affected by the pandemic worldwide, with 5,075,678 cases (163,282 deaths) and 3,057,470 infections ( 101,752 deaths), respectively.
