Troia-Mar beach, in the municipality of Grândola, district of Setúbal, which opens the bathing season on Saturday, is the one with the largest capacity on the Alentejo coast, according to a proposal by the Portuguese Environment Agency (APA).
According to the proposal made available on the APA website for “informal consultation” of the population, regarding the Alentejo coast region, Troia-Mar beach will have a capacity for 3,500 users, 1,500 more than the beaches of Comporta, Carvalhal, Pego and Melides, also in the municipality of Grândola, which will have capacity for 2,000 people each.
Troia-Bico das Lulas beach will have a capacity of 1,900 people, Troia-Galé and Atlântica can accommodate up to 1,300 and, finally, at Camarinhas beach a capacity of 1,100 users is expected.
