Electrification of cities ensures corporate revenue

Adérito Veloso

The increase in access to electricity services in the cities of Luanda, Benguela, Lubango (Huíla) and Huambo is seen as crucial for the improvement of revenues in the electricity sector.

According to the action plan that Jornal de Angola had access to, it aims to increase consumer confidence and increase operating revenues and “financial health” for companies.

The main indicators of development of this project are the reduction of losses, periods of interruptions (hours / year) and the number of customers who can avail of the service.

The Electricity Sector Strengthening Project (PFSE) launched recently in public consultation is based on improving the technical and commercial performance of public companies, namely PRODEL, RNT and ENDE. It also aims to increase financial sustainability and reliability in the provision of the service provided to consumers across the country.
